Today in the Studio.....

Today my studio was humming with the enthusiastic buzz of friends. Several weeks ago we all went out to lunch and they asked if I would teach them how to collage:D Of course that was a great excuse to clean up my studio.....make up some packets.....tidy up the house.....and invite them over for lunch! They arrived early so that we could really get something accomplished since I wasn't sure when we could get together again. One of our friends has to start school in the next two weeks:( While two of them were newly retired this summer and hadn't received their sea legs yet.....LOL! They still don't realize that you ALWAYS have time when you are retired.....now it is just a matter of PRIORITIES!


Once everyone got going the time flew.....as we all know it does. They worked on their covers and on some backgrounds for future pages. They were surprised what they came up with:D None of these friends were art teachers and were really apprehensive before starting. I did find, they are just like the kids. Once you get their confidence up and with a little prodding they were creating just like the "Pro's". We broke for a nice lunch and then it was back to work! Everyone took home the start of an "Altered Journal" and asked when we could meet again. That put a smile on my face:D
