Lazy Day with Friends.....

Treadmills

Today several of us went to the St. Louis Art Museum
to see the quilt show and have lunch......
The weather was windy and the temp was dropping
so we decided to pass on the Botanical Gardens
and
go instead to the Art Museum.
I am so happy we did.....the show was fabulous!
Some of the most amazing pieces of handwork I have ever seen.
There was one quilt that dated from the early 1700's
that I had to ask
to make sure it wasn't machine made:D
Silly me, the sewing machine wasn't invented until the mid 1800's...
much less a sophisticated embroidery machine!
We had a great lunch
and
caught up on kids, grandkids and the world in general.

I think my camera is on it's "last leg"......every picture is blurry@#@$@#$%
That is Cyndy on the left and Bev in the middle! Thanks girls for a fun and silly afternoon!
We all taught together for many years:D
Actually, Cyndy and I even went to High School together (she is a bit younger).

Look at the gorgeous Orchids in the fountain.

I saw that quilt show two weeks ago--yes, it is really fabulous. They are all from the DuPont collection I believe, from Winterthur. Amazing. Glad you had a fun girls day out! linda, too

Sounds like you had a great time and despite the blurry photo, you all look so wonderful.
