What's on your shelves and WIN!!!!!

Treadmills

I have been working in my studio contemplating the cleaning process.......now I only said contemplating:D I need to get rid of some of the things I never use......BUT WHAT? It seems that every time I start to pitch something, I think......."Oh, I could use that for....."! Well, the time has come, because my studio is busting out of the walls we built and I can't infringe on our familyroom without getting the "Evil Eye" from hubby:D So, what is on the shelves of your studio that you can discard?
Leave me a note on this post
and I will put your name into a drawing for a surprise package from my studio:D That is one way to get rid of some of it....LOL
I will draw a name for a surprise on Sunday..........

Oh my....I could discard a lot of things....but I.don't.want.to! The most unused collection is (right now)is zippers. I have a bazillion zippers. I buy bag lots of vintage trim and end up with zippers I don't quite know what to do with..but, then I don't want to just 'get rid' of them. Any ideas on what to do with old zippers?

Hmmm, I have magazines..and more magazines. Paints, thought I don't want to get rid of the...someday I may pick them up again. I'm high on Input so I collect all sorts of things..information by the oodles...good luck in your cleaning and purging. Hopefully I will get better at it too this year.

Oh please don't let me become the old woman with just paths through all the junk. There must be something here I could not possibly use for anything..........maybe this yarn..........no no .........these stamps.....no.........hmmm I think I will just make something and get to discarding stuff a bit later.......

I did a really good clean up in my sewingroom before christmas because it had to work as a bedroom. But still my shelfs are filled with magazines, quiltbooks, projects, buttons and boxes filled with patterns.

I need to do some cleaning too! Maybe if I just do some more organizing I can hang on a while longer!
Can't wait to see your booth!

counte min in! I don't have that much stuff, but even so, I did need to purge not too long ago. Some of it was scrapbook stuff my sister got me, that I would never use but couldn't part with. So I have it to my 7 yo niece to play with and make her own own. Plus, some stuff I let my 4 yo use too. That helps. But, I find as I look for more vintage items, that my stuff is just piling up! But, I'd be happy to add your stuff to my pile!! Seriously, if you want to email me, I'm looking for some old wallpaper to use in an altered book.

I have magazines out the wazoo. And I have three boxes going for some friends that I am simply tossing things into. I think the thing I buy without a real "need" is fabric.

Try and enjoy the cleaning process.

I just cleaned my bedroom closet and have a vehicle full of goodies for the goodwill...I try to think of it as recycling, much easier to move on...Now I have to do my sewing studio and I doooo have a collection of magazines! It is such a mess from the gift making and wrapping, yikes!
Good luck w/lighting your load!

I have a big problem throwing out magazines. I always think I will go back and look through them again for ideas. I also probably have too many scrapbooking supplies, but I just can't toss them and what about my ribbon and all of my trinkets I know I will use some day. I know how you feel, but I think I was born a pack rat---but, I don't keep junk, just good stuff!!ha. ~teri~

OH were to begin??? I think I would start dusting between all the little bottles and trinkets that I collect to hold all my antic buttons. Then I would be all the old Magazines, and then some stamps that i had to have and never used. I think that would be a start. Maybe I'll do it next year LOL

Are we ALL in the post-Christmas cleaning mode? I cleaned the house after all the guests left, then finally tackled the piles in the studio. I found several old wood spools. I found bolts of lace. I wrapped the lace around the spools, and I'm going to put them in my booth at the antique mall. Maybe I'll earn enough back to pay for the canvas cloth I purchased yesterday???

I couldn't remember if I jumped in the pot or not. So, here I am. I have so many shelves and they are so full of thing I probably do not need but I simply can't part with my things. I really do need to pass through them and find stuff to pass on. I'll go think about that.
