I did it for HER!

Treadmills
Here you see my darling daughter (in-law) that lives in K.C. Last week-end my son came in for Father's Day and told me Arica was having a really hard time dealing with inept workmen and some family matters that are tearing her up! She not only holds down a very stressful and responsible job for a major firm in K.C. but is ALSO a real estate sales woman. She has four contracts going right now with everything else! I am worried about her....she has broken down several times with me on the phone, which makes me so sad:( I decided to drive back with my son, Jeff, and work for a few days on their home which has been in disarray for the past two months. They have sequestered themselves, when home, in the bedroom......the only real place to sit down. The workmen have managed to tear up the entire house and yard, cleaning nothing up behind themselves. I have NEVER SEEN such a mess!!!!!!!!!!!! All their furniture is strown all over the house with tools and disgarded supplies laying everywhere! All their beautiful rugs and furniture thick with dust and debris. OMG.....where to start? We dove in Monday morning and didn't stop for 3 days solid. Wow, did we get alot accomplished. Every floor and stick of furniture was washed, dusted, oiled, polished or vacumned. Once we got the water going again in the kitchen we were able to load the dishwasher over and over and over again.....washing every dish in the house! Arica just got her granite counter tops the day before I arrived......for 8 weeks she couldn't even set anything down......no counters, no cabinet doors, no cabinet shelves or drawers. We worked in the yard a little, cleaned off the decks (plus added some ambiance with a new umbrella and cushions). Washed off all the plants and organized every pile of clutter! It felt good to get so much accomplished and leave them in somewhat better order than I found them. We were all smiling by the 3rd day and Arica was able to take off for those days as well. My first Amtrak ride home was a great experience and for only 21.00.....such a deal! It took a little longer than the drive, but no worry, no gas and no wear and tear on my car! Not bad....Rog wasn't able to go because of work:) The train was the perfect solution for just me traveling.......
Because I have been gone.......I wasn't able to get the "Vintage paper packets" sent out, but they are now going to be shipped as well as Lori's "Summer Give-A-Way"! The mailman should have them in his sack before you know it:)

Yes, YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL... if you could have only seen the biggest smile on my face when I walked in the door after work yesterday to SEE a clean house - it was Fabulous. I can't thank you enough for all of your help and I hope you know how appreciative I am for all you have done to help bring a sense of normalcy back to our lives. You are so precious to me, I don't know what I would do without you.

Love your daughter,
Arica
