Step Three.................

I have started painting on my pages. As you can see I have blotted out somethings that I had visable in the last step. The postcard on Milly's page was just too much and I am not entirely sure I even like the word "cousin" still showing. It is a bit too dark for the rest of the two pages. We will see. Now it is time to let it sit for a day and come back to it. I still want to add more verbage and maybe a little more painting. We shall see:) Nelda, I staple or grammit (sp?) or even sew the pages together. I usually combine three pages for stability. It also makes the amount of pages more workable. If I tried to cover every page I would be here until they are in their 20's.....hee....hee! I hope this is helping. See you tomorrow night with the final result hopefully:) until then......good night.

Your working process is real similar to mine in my kids' baby books! In my book that's coming out, I've got a little section that details my step-by-step layering process- you'll probably see a lot that looks familiar!

I like your idea of grommeting the pages together in an altered book. Never thought of that...I'm going to give it a try! By the way, your latest pages are as gorgeous as usual.

Thank you so much for all of your directions. I am trying to absorb all of them and give this a try myself. I have some books, but have been too chicken to try doing this. Can't wait for the next step.

Linda,

Im back from vacation and have been as sick as a dog, so I had not had a chance to really visit your blog.....You are so nice to put a tutorial out there on how you create your amazing art. Thanks! I will write more later.
