T.H.A.N.K. Y.O.U. !!!!

I am home from the hospital ...

and both proceedures went

EXCEPTIONALLY WELL!

If I don't have an incident of irregular heartbeat for the next two months.....doc says that it is corrected for life! OMGoodness...........

I have NO IDEA what

that will be like!
Having my medicine strapped to my leg for the past 20+ years......Having to remember to take it with me EVERYWHERE (just in case) has been the order of every day.
This second proceedure that I went through at 7:00am this morning was to correct the irregular beating. Sometimes it was go on for an hour or two....racing at 212 beats per minute (my normal beat is about 74/min.)
The doctor is a specialist in the electrical component of the heart. He put 5 sensors up through an artery in my groin....attaching them to different areas of the heart. Through the other artery in my right groin he put a lassar like contraption that would eventually blast a a piece out of the path that had formed in the electrical chain that regulates the beat! Once everything was in there, he made the heart go into tachacardia and watched to see where the path had developed. Once located....he blasted it with a lassar like ray, breaking the path causing the heart to revert back to the regular heartbeat! Very complicated and very poor explanation. Once both proceedures were complete I had to lay flat on my back for 8 hrs. not moving my legs or body! This was probably the hardest part! Since they had punctured my major artery it is important to get that coagulated before I could leave. They told me that if it started bleeding you could bleed to death in short time:0 I finally arrived home at 9:30 tonight to find this Legacy Mag. awaiting me in the mailbox! I have several pieces in this issue and it just added to the excitement of the day!
Thank You
for
writing
such words of hope and encouragement!
Thank you for your prayers!

I'm so glad everything went well!! I can't imagine what you've gone through all these years.

Yes, lying flat on your back for 8 hours is the worst part of it!! (I've had 4 angiogram procdures.)Isn't medical science amazing?

So relieved to hear all went well. How wonderful for you to have the probability of being med-free! And only you, Linda, would come home from an all-day hospital stay and be coherent and strong enough to post not only the details of your procedure, but also pics of your Legacy article!! You are something else, girl!
