Saturday Art...............

Yesterday I decided I would put together a bracelet. This bracelet, inspired by the CU girls, was going to be my 'grandma' or "Nana" bracelet! I used an old metal bracelet that I found in a bag of goodies I purchased at the local antique mall. It was in with many broken pieces of jewelry, earrings etc. A zip lock bag full of treasures for 2.00! How could I pass it up? Anyway, I purchased alot of little frames from Red Lead and mounted the kids pics into them. Next I added diamond glaze. I wasn't as happy with the results as I thought I would be.....but that's O.K. I still have their images even if they are a bit distorted. Using Staz-On ink I stamped on the back of each pic letters and/or numbers. These are significant to me but probably wouldn't mean much to anyone else. I started adding charms. Silver tone, copper, gold....all went together. I used teal as the accent color with a few scattered beads here and there. I am really happy with the result, but must learn to solder better so that I can really have some clear images! At that point I will change them out........but for now I am really pleased! :-D) Posted by Picasa

I am happy you all had a nice time at Old St. Charles... I did not buy anything either except for some Chocolate Ted Drews icecream that my son and I shared... WE had a nice time though.. Quality time..

You have a great day.... Love those babies.

OMY!!! What a fabulous bracelet! I would love to be able to find something like that...I think you should go into production and I am the first customer! I am such a lurker, but it only takes a piece like this to uncover me, LOL!
