Pole Dancing

Nothing real exciting....
but I found these little galvanized containers
at the thrift store the other day.
Hubby drilled some holes in the bottom of each
and I filled with some SALE PLANTS at Walmart.
Thought they looked cute dancing around the deck pole:D Sunny space is hard to find in our yard
and this gave me a chance to put
a few growing friends in the sun!
Will see how they do.

Lush Spring..........

Arriving home from a weeks vacation in Kentucky.......the yard was lush with green! The plants had amazing growth in a mere 5 days and the yard reminded me of Ireland:D With rain everyday I guess the plants had no choice....LOL! Just a few shots as I wandered around our yard. The Clematis is prettier than any year so far and my new found love of succulents didn't disappoint either. The woods and planted area behind our home had come alive in a few short days. God's miracles right in my own backyard:D

PACIFIC COMMUNITY GARDEN

I tried starting a Community Garden here in Eureka two years ago! Evidently Eureka wasn't interested.......I gave up after several phone calls and volunteering to do all the publicity, signage and collecting donations for a fence.
Well..................the community just 4 miles away, Pacific, decided to start a garden....even providing water to the site:D They gave the group a lot that had held a home that was ruined by a flood last year. My neighbor told me about it and we both joined. What fun....watching broccoli grow, cabbage, lettuce, tomatoes, peppers and even radishes. I will have fun taking the grandchildren to see this and help me weed. Rog and I visited Sunday before heading down to Kimmswick for a brunch. I can't wait to start harvesting some of those vegetables.

What a Difference a Month Makes.......

The yard has come alive and along with it my love of SPRING!!!!! There is nothing "not to like" about this gift of nature every year! The air is filled with those glorious scents of damp earth, fresh cut grass the first flowers........ As life gives us worries and anxiety, nature gives us a beautiful place to sort things out. I am so thankful............

If you are a believer in prayer.....please say a little one for my hubby who is going in for a CAT Scan this morning on his head. He has been suffering from headaches!
