In this bleek month of January I thought I would post a collage of what makes the sun shine for me! Don't get me wrong, I love having time to myself to create......but after a day or two, I need a little one to make me forget about the problems of the world. I love hearing their little questions and heartfelt pleas.......and most of all I love hearing them say.....Grandma!!!!! I have several names as most grandmas do......Nana....Grammie are just a few:D There is nothing quite like a tiny pair of outstretched arms reaching for you.......and....the squeeze of a hug is intoxicating. I love teaching them.....to paint, to draw, to write letters/numbers, to cook, to clean, to garden, to read. From my collection of children's books (most from my years as a teacher) I love exploring with them and telling them tales that captivate their attention if only for a minute or two. God knew what he was doing when he saved the BEST TILL LAST!!!! There is nothing like being a GRANDMA and the more that call me that......the better:D
