After dropping off my little offering of "Ditty Bags" for Haitian children at the Post Office.......I felt like there must be more I can do! I stopped at Walmart on my way home.....and......you can't imagine what 150.00 can buy!!!!!! First I went to the shoe dept. and since I couldn't afford many pairs of tennis shoes.......I thought a little deeper about the situation. There are children with no shoes in a world that has collapsed. Ground covered with with debris....no place safe to walk without covering on your feet! I headed for the slipper dept. and there was a close-out on all their sandles and flip-flops! I was able to purchase more than 30 pairs to cover the feet of children and felt REALLY GOOD!!!!! Next I headed for the Clearance Aisle where I found little children's outfits for a mere 5.oo! I bought up all that was there.....then headed for the check out! Of course I know this is still not enough and I will continue to send help as I can afford it. A friend and I are talking about going over there when things get a little calmer. I hope our dream can come true! I don't want to be in the way, but REALLY WANT TO HELP!

Feelings of Guilt................

Linda!!! What a brilliant idea!!!! They are warm there most of the time so flip flops are PERFECT!! And the sales at Walmart...it's so good to get more for your money, isn't it?? You have such a beautiful heart, I know everything will be so appreciated ~ hugs and love, Dawn

wow, what a generous heart you have, i am sure everything you sent will be greatly appreciated. I donated money and just hope it will get to the people who need it, we are so blessed here and my heart just goes out to those affected by that tragedy.
