Worry brings on new projects......

Below are the pictures I posted sometime ago of the throw pillows I had made from vintage fabric sacks.......

I have always dealt with worry in my own way...........insomnia! Even though my children are grown and married with families of their own.....I still worry! This morning at 2:30 a.m. after about 3 hours sleep, I woke up with a start.....worried about an event that is progressively getting worse! What do I do? Is there anything I can do? Am I intruding? Will it take care of itself ? On and on and on and on.......................

I learned along time ago that laying there getting myself in a stew doesn't produce anything but a sick stomach:( I also learned some time ago that getting up and making myself busy is the best therapy! That is what I did last night......by the way, it is so beautiful in the middle of the night outside. Cool, damp and so quiet.......

After a little computer time it was onto a quilt top I started last week.......when finished all the squares, I started on another project. My sis had given me some wonderful feed sacks for my birthday several years ago. I finally decided what I wanted to do with one of them. Some of you will remember the throw pillows I made out of old sacks a few months ago for our lower level sofa. This one is completely outlined quilted because it was rather frail in some places. It will go with the group and add a little more color! I ironed on a layer of batting and then backed the piece with some white cotton percale. It will make a pillow about 18" X 18" with a back that matches the color of the sack. Probably do a little self flange around the edge:) Think it will be a nice addition.

I too tend to be a worrywart and spend lots of time laying in bed mulling things over when I could be sleeping, good for you to put your time to creating!! Love the graphics on the sack, it will make a great pillow!

Love the colors of your quilt and the feedsacks are great! I find that I worry less now than I did when I was younger...if it's out of my hands I simply turn it over to God.
