I have been working on a little alter for my grandbaby, Milly! So far it is turning out the way I intended, but I need a lot more detail to do! Here is a little dress I made for Margo last night! The fabric is really almost impossible to work with. The red is 3D and a sort of rubbery paint or substance. If you hit it with an iron it sticks:( Also, while making it I discovered that my machine will not go over the front side of this fabric due to the red stuff! Therefore, I had to redesign the entire dress so that I only used the machine while sewing two front sides together......all the rest was done with hand stitching. I made facings for the sleeves to avoid the problem. Since it is a wonderful knit, I don't think it will need much maintenance once Carrie gets it:D
Love the altar you are doing for her. It's so cool and personalized. My daughter rearranges her stuff on her's and carts it all over, but thinks it's cool she has her own stuff on a table in her room. :)
