Our Easter Egg Hunt.......

Nine of our Grandchildren took part (sort of:) in our Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Palm Sunday! We decided to do this because with all the families involved it seemed impossible to get everyone together on Easter Sunday. Our 14 yr. old granddaughter, Ali, was too old for this (if you know what I mean:)
We started with a nice simple lunch and then the hunt was on. We filled 250 plastic eggs and had them all over the front yard. Some of these kids have to trip over the egg to see it:) They are so precious......not sure if they should pick it up or not.....then trying to jam it into their little mouth. I feel so blessed to be in on all of this. This is what I live for.........
I made each of the kids a basket. I will have to say that some got really cute handmade buckets while several got the store bought versions. After breaking my foot and being in Vegas for a week.......time ran short! Above you can see a pic of several of the baskets:)

This must be a wonderful tradition. Your 14 year old GD told she was too old to participat, but I guess she deep inside really wanted to join the egg hunt.

That looks like so much fun! Boy, I'll bet they look forward to that every year. What great memories you are creating for them!

On another note....I went to Borders and got Sommerset. Simply breathtaking. So beautiful. Congratulations again to you. I can't wait to see the next one.

Wow! Large numbers of children always knock me for a loop, and I was sort of glad my eyes were still fuzzy from the dialating drops the doctor uses for an eye exam as I couldn't see them all clearly. What a great grandma you are!
