We jumped into the car and just headed West on the highway........with no real destination in mind. We got to the little town of Washington, Mo. and decided to see if there were any antique shops open. After a brief stop here and there we headed to a homestead where we were told there were some wonderful antiques. About 4 miles outside of Washington on the way to Union, Mo. there is this wonderful antique barn and outbuilding called Willow Creek! The owner, Joyce Reynolds, met us as we drove in. She was taking the day easy sitting on the front porch working on a rag rug. What a sweet lady. She has had this shop going for 27 years and it is chocked FULL of beautiful furniture and small items. There are so many floors that I got lost several times. I picked up some old ledgers and record books filled with vintage handwriting and some jewelry to remake......I also found this lovely portrait of two girls that I thought was enchanting! It was a great find....this antique haven that is! There is another building full as well, but we ran out of time......next time we will hit that one first:)
