Goodies.......................

It is Friday and I always like to treat myself for making it through another week:) Just kidding, but it is fun to do something special after being tied to a schedule all week! On my way home I decided to stop at one of my old watering holes.....not really......antique malls! Evidently it had been slow and everyone was having sales. It just so happens there is a booth that is stocked by a girl named Connie.......a kindred spirit! Each time I visit her booth I find way tooooooo much! Well, today was NO EXCEPTION! The big difference was.......50% OFF everything signs were holding court around her space. I suspiciously went to the desk to ask if I was dreaming.....or was this for real? Was it just on the item that had the sign posted.....surely it wasn't on EVERYTHING! The woman looked up from her book and said.....EVERYTHING! OMG......an hour later I was checking out with three bags of goodies. Not little bags, but grocery brown bags....WOW did I hit it lucky. Here are just a few of the things I purchased! Can't wait to dive in and create with them:) I am one happy camper! Posted by Picasa

That happened a few weeks ago to ME! I went into my local antique store & made a bee line to my favorite booth. Everything was on sale 50% off but there wasn't a whole lot left. I found out she is retiring/moving. I'm happy I had some nice finds but sad she won't be there anymore.

You got some wonderful finds!

Linda, I've been enjoying your blog for a couple of months. I love your work, and the babies are SO adorable. Speaking as a former antique mall dealer, you need to get Connie's phone number and ask her to become a "picker" for you. Her 50% off sale may be an indication she is thinking of moving or changing her business somehow. It's great to find a dealer who has your same taste. Most dealers welcome a more personal relationship with such a good customer.

I think the thing I like best is the picture--framed in the background of two of your photos and it is wonderful. It is a lady with elbow eschew in a black dress against a coffee with a wee bit of cream background. Love that. The new stuff is nice, but I really love that one.
