Studio Friday ....Time/timing......

TIME ...HAS NO PLACE WHEN I AM IN MY STUDIO!!!!!! there are NO clocks! I cringe when my hubby says, "are you getting lunchie?"....because....that means he is and it is time for me to leave what I love to go fix breakfast, lunch or dinner.... Not that he won't cook.....he does and does it very well, but in the larger scheme of things that is usually my responsibility! I hate for the phone to ring because that not only brings me back into reality, but also means I am going to lose my thought process........If the doorbell rings I usually ignor it! When everyone at school (where I teach) start talking about where they are going for "Spring Break" or and extended 4 day week-end.....I smile and think quietly that maybe my husband will play golf and I can be at home by myself to get lost in my studio! I stay up half the night many nights just to have more studio time to myself:)
My husband recently put a T.V. in my studio with a cable connection......he meant well! It hasn't been on since it was installed.
I purchased a C.D. player last summer so that I could enjoy all that wonderful music I love while working on my art.....DIDN'T HAPPEN! TIME flys and I am at peace when I am in my studio! Somedays I creep out to find that it is 3:00 pm and I am still in my jammies}:-O What would the neighbors think????????????????
Clocks, timers, stop watches be damned......there is NO PLACE for you in my little world.

I love your big studio! It must be so nice to have such a large area for moving around and working on your projects.

Your shadow boxes and that tote bag are so creative and pretty!

BEAUTIFUL studio Linda!! I would stay in there all day too. Don't blame you a bit!

I love "Women and her memories", the swag piece, the "book in a box"... the list goes on. You have been a busy lady, and now a grandmother soon to little Millie (Great name!)

Wonderful to stop by and see what you have been up to. If only I could be so productive right now!!

What a wonderful studio! And I love the way your rubber stamp storage wall turned out.....awesomely creative! Time certainly does take on a different meaning when the creative flow takes over. I, too, get lost in the process and hours can pass in what seems like a brief moment!
