a little collage i made on a cigar box lid......this is a family that lived in rural midwest about 1919. they lived off the earth and went to church on sunday morning. children played in the near by creek while mom helped with the farm chores. once a year they went to the city to have their photo made. this pic was taken in the summer of 1923, a very dry and dusty summer.....the land produced little and they struggled to make ends meet!
