Little behind😢

The problem is simple. I got a new phone for Christmas and the photos are better than any taken by my fancy dancy camera. No problem so far!!!! The problem arises when I try to drop them into my computer$&&@@6)(. I haven't figured out the trick to transposing them. Still working on that. Will get back to you as soon as possible. Starting 2015!

Sue and Lois have made sets of Gnomes for family and friends:) Mine could use a little refining...but still FUN! The Monday Night Ladies have been playing with clay!  Although I have had a kiln for years, it seldom gets used. I am not a big clay user..........but it is sure fun!  The kids have been having fun making and firing their creations too.

Busy Christmas Holiday!

Christmas Eve with everyone at our home. Gabby and Josie in their new PJ's Christmas morning! Christmas eve with all the kids opening their gifts. I made Milly a robe and PJ's for all her over-night invites! Christmas Day we went to KC to see the rest of the family. Always fun with Jeff and Arica!!! Our two little muffins entertained us royally! Christmas Eve we had a concert by our two pianists....Jackson and Sophie. All I can say is WOW...........fabulous, bravo!!

Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Maddie loves to paint................today everyone got into the act! Even Mommy painted with us.

Miss "O" was curious about all the things I have in the jars. Olivia put all the ornaments on a tree Mommy painted for her. We accomplished a lot today in the Studio.  I didn't take pics of all our creations but you can bet.....they are as good as the ones shown above :)

OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!! trip to wound doctor:(

This is how it started................but it never got better!  Today (7 weeks later) I finally went to the Wound Doctor.  Who knew?  Never heard of a Wound Doctor before. If I knew then what I know now.......I am not so sure I would have gone*&%*^#%&# Evidently there was 'stuff' in the hole in my leg that needed to be cleaned out................OMG! I lived through it, but it really knocked me for a loop...........sick to my stomach and upset. I hope I never have to go through anything like this again........even though I know others go though much worse. Rog is not looking forward to taking care of this wound for the next 4 to 6 weeks........... I might add that I am not looking forward to him packing this wound either :(

Artist at Work...........

Went to see Laura and family Sat. to drop off a couple little things for the girls...........before I left home I got a phone call from Gabby saying "Grandma Linda are you coming over?" Yes, I said....."Want to have a play-date?" said Gabby. I had to laugh but didn't want her to hear me!  "What did you have in mind?"  I asked.

"Maybe we could have an art play-date today if you want."  Gabby said.

So precious..............and sincere!  We went and got her and she spent the evening painting!  She adores painting and has so much fun doing her artwork :)

We had just been at the funeral of Gabby's great grandma the day before....thus the cross and "Path to Heaven" written in the lower right corner:)

We were able to go along with Michael Carrie and Jim. 

Papa and I then visited her classroom to help paint pumpkins.

Cabinet Finished!

My sweet hubby helped me to finish my flat file! 

Didn't have to purchase anything...

all the hardware was reused.

I simply soaked them in spic n span....

scrubbed with wire brush and spray painted them black gloss!

Found while cleaning!!!

The things you find when cleaning out drawers :) I found this Pumpkin puppet I used to make with my classroom years ago. He is strung on the back so that when you pull the red bead his arms and legs jump! The kids loved making him and seeing him come to life. We also made witches that jumped too! I also found this self-portrait I don't even remember doing :) ~::~::~::~::~::~::~::~::~::~::~::~::~::~::~ I found so many pieces of artwork I had completed, and was thrilled to see again....like old friends!

Now to the Saga of my Studio!

 After 25 years of teaching, 

doing artwork for Somerset Studio, 

artwork for Masala Card Co.,

 artwork for Recycled Rose

 and just painting................

it was time.....NO it was way past time 

for a thorough studio cleaning.

I drug out 65 bags of stuff.....

not little bags, but big black bags!!!

I had to rid myself of things I have looked at 

for years, 

but haven't used.

It was time to stop kidding myself...

there was so much I would never get to!

I FEEL REBORN....

ha ha ha

That might be a bit dramatic, but it does feel good!

I cleaned off my cutting table 

which hasn't been cleaned since I brought it into the house.

Out of necessity

I need a surface to cut on when sewing.

It has become uncomfortable to get down on the

floor where I used to cut out all my fabric.

Oh, this is so much better!

Rog even went out and purchased 5 now lights

for my studio which he hung yesterday :)

Because we used to smoke in the basement................I needed to wash EVERY drawer and container in the studio! 

No easy challenge.....but I got it done!

The last thing I still need to do is paint and clean out my flat file.

My sis gave it to me years ago...and it was GREEN!

Actually it still is....but that is going to change soon!

There is the file ready for cleaning and painting.....

and I will be done!

Now it is time to get down to some serious artwork!!!!!
