I thought it would never get here!!!!!

Treadmills
AND
When it came it was a full SEVEN PAGES!!!
OMGoodness
It was sort of like waiting for your child to give birth...
on a much more shallow level:)
We looked at every airport news shop in K.C. and Vegas.
I stalked every hotel news shop.
I was sure it must be at my doorstep when we arrived home...
BUT
NO
and for the first time in our lives.....we had the mail stopped!
Considering we arrived home at 8:00 pm.
I had to settle for looking online at Somerset Studio website one more time!
There it was....
at least the cover was available for me to see!
That wasn't much...
but better then nothing:)
Next morning.....first thing.....I ran to the post office.
When the mail basket was given to me I anxiously glanced to see
if there was anything that looked like a box from Somerset!
I didn't see anything that big (in the past they have sent my five copies....yes five
in a UPS box). I ran to the car in the rain carrying the box filled with hope:)
THERE....
there among all the junk mail, bills, subscriptions etc. was a large
manila envelope:O The return address was the one I was hoping for...YEA!
I sat in the car for almost 45 minutes tearing open and magazines and pouring over
my babies in print:)
I had also received some other wonderful things that couldn't wait for the drive home. That explains the 45 minutes:):):)

addition to Etsy.........Tea Time

A little piece I completed last week. The white lace looks gray, but most of the other colors are right on! I will add this to Etsy today.

My precious little girls......

I know....I know....it gets boring seeing someone elses children....but this grandma can't get enough! After being gone a week, the first thing I wanted to do was to see my babies. My daughter was sweet enough to bring over the girls for Nana to have a little time with them:) Even though they will be over again tomorrow (Palm Sunday) for our annual Easter Egg Hunt!!! I have such wonderful kids.........I am sooooooooooo blessed!
Here is little Milly with Papa out on the deck. Spring is such a fresh breath of happiness after a long winter:) We put the two of them in the Jacuzzi and Margo wasn't sure she wanted to share her Big Girl Bath with her little sister.......and....Milly wasn't sure she wanted to be there at all:)

16 years later..............................

Treadmills
Rog and I were married in Vegas 16 years ago. Our little chapel is gone now and the place looks very different, but the memories are still fresh and the love is still growing:) Over the years were have gone back many times revisiting places we visited times before. The only thing that hasn't changed is the way we feel about each other! Here are a couple of photos....one from our wedding day and the other just yesterday:) We have certainly changed....ha...ha and grown alittle:)

Textures of VEGAS!

We are back with our wallets a little lighter......but our minds full of fabulous images and inspiration! It is amazing what money will buy! Each cassino out-doing the last one! OMGoodness.......the sights are unbelievable. I hobbled through the streets in great ease with my BOOT! Thanks doc:) The money spent on visual stimulation boggles the mind...and I almost forgot......the shows!!!!! We were able to see "BODIES" now at the Flamingo! That is the show that there was so much contraversy over! It was a little hard to look at when you thought about the bodies as real people.....but once you got over that....it was one of the best museum type shows I have ever seen. We also saw the Broadway show "Spamalot" .....GREAT and FUNNY!

Ribbon Rack and New Collage!

Treadmills
I was inspired by something I saw on someone's blog........using a rack/shelf as a ribbon rack! I found the perfect shelf with plenty of open slats for ribbons and "Whalla".......
I find that my ribbon doesn't stay nicely in the jars. I have too much and the pieces are far too long........anyway.....this works much better for me and I can see all the colors in a glance:)
The other photo is a collage I finished the other night! At the very bottom there is a scallop of beautiful tissue paper! Shabby Chic (Rachael) scalloped edged tissue in three varities for 3.99! How adorable the patterns are and great for collage work:) All from our friendly TARGET! The collage is called "Sunday Morning Ritual".........I think that is self explanitory:)

The Secret is Out!!!!!!!!

Treadmills
Legacy magazine is changing it's name to Somerset Memories this month.......and guess who is on the cover!
HUNTER
!!!!!!!
My baby books for my twin grandsons will be featured in the next two issues of Somerset Memories:)
Chase
will have a spread in the June/July issue:D
I can not begin to tell you the thrill of it all......unbelieveable.
My copies should be here any day now (I was hoping they would be here today....but no). Anyway, I am anxiously awaiting their arrival to get my first peek of the cover and article!

Here are a few pages I finished in Hunter's book since it arrived back home:) I have missed working in the books and will have to wait a bit longer to get my hands on Chase's..........but that's O.K.

I Could Have Kissed Her..........

Treadmills
Well, back from the doc and.........YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She put me in a walking cast:D
Could I be happier......
I don't think so!

Vegas Here We Come!

AND THE WINNERS ARE!!!!!!!!!!!

Treadmills
Thanks to all that commented for this drawing. It is fun to see who is checking in:) I hope you continue to identify yourself because sometimes it gets lonely out here in blogland:) All right, this doesn't look as honest as it could.....but.....let me assure you that I dipped my hand in without looking and pulled out the tags:) REALLY!!! My husband was there to make sure I didn't peek!!!
I couldn't get my computer to print out the comments so I had to write them down and cut them out:)
If the winners will email me their home addresses, I will put there packets in the mail as soon as I can hobble to the POST OFFICE:) My email is lindaharre2222@yahoo.com............
Yea and Drum Roll please.....
MELISSA
and
HEATHER of Speckled Egg (sorry about the misspelling:)
and
FEATHERED NEST
This was fun and I encourage others to try give-a-ways!
What a wonderful way to meet those that read your blog:)
It reinforces the urge to continue blogging..
because
there are really people out there, even when you think
you are all alone:):):)

Oh No@#%#$%&^^$

Treadmills
Well, as the saga of the retiring teacher continues........I have to add yet another chapter:( After suffering pain in my left foot and ankle for the past 11 days.......I rushed into the doctor:) Not really, I have been going to the chiropractor every other day for the past week for acupuncture (sp?) and electro-therapy! The problem was.....it was getting worse and more swollen:( Yesterday, I could take it no longer and went to the Urgent Care close by. After more xrays they found a stress fracture!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO, NO, NO.........three days before our trip to Vegas. We are to drive to K.C. Sunday to stay with my son and daughter-in-law and then Monday we were all flying to Vegas for a nice fun vacation. This was our Birthday present from Jeff and Arica:) As luck would have it.....the doc said absolutely no pressure on the foot as in wheelchair or crutches:( Do you have any idea how hard it is to race around on crutches. First, you can't carry a thing with you.....no arm loads of tea, cigs, mail and other sundry items. Since my computer and studio are on the lower level of our home......that means stairs......need I say more! How do we create art without flying around the studio getting this and that to try for the effect we want:( How will I fly.................
Well, it is what it is and I will see an orthopedic doc this afternoon......my only hope now is a walking cast (but my hopes are not very high since the doc at U.C. said it will not heal with any weight on it:( Well, I know there are worse things out there and I should be thankful......like strong little JoAnna! And I am........but if you see a old lady being pushed through the cassinos at the Golden Nugget......you can guess who it is:)

White matte finished pottery.....

Treadmills
Two more pieces of my white pottery.
The smaller on is rather small...more like a bud vase!
The larger has been reproduced by Haeger in the last few years.
In fact, I saw the new version at Michaels.
Mine is the old vintage style:)

Recycled Rose.......

Here are some more pictures of my favorite shop.....Recycled Rose....and my friend, Sue Lombardo, that owns it! She used to work for Mary Englebreit and you can see why!!!! My pics do not do it justice:)

She touched me..............

Treadmills
My precious sister has been working on something SPECIAL for me for the past year but would never give me a hint! Well, last night, at my Birthday dinner the gift was given.......and......I must say that it touched my heart! She had made a box of memories for me........some pictures I had never seen before! She carefully and creatively put together childhood memories with photos of our grandparents, parents and ourselves. Seeing my father's handwriting brought tears to my eyes. He has been dead since I was twenty-five and I still get teary when I think of that wonderful man and the love he had for us! My mom was tiny and so cute! Again, pictures I had never seen of them on their honeymoon thrilled me! How do you say "Thank You" for such a special gift? This was certainly one of the most meaningful presents I have ever received, if not the most meaningful! I want to share it with you because it is so beautifully done:) My sister, my love, thank you again and again...........
