The Fruits of Our Labor..........:-D)

Some of the goodies collected on our little journey. Going the back roads you can find diamonds in the rough. There is a new and WONDERFUL antique mall right on highway 70 about 2 hours outside of St. Louis called "ARTICHOKE ANNIES". The woman that owns it is a hoot! Dealers abide by very strick rules: nothing newer than 1970, booths cleaned once a week.......and no REPROS! If she finds items that do not conform they are put in the "hall of shame" at the back of the store and must be discarded immediately. Because of these rules, she provides a fantastic environment for the antique lover. Aisles and aisles of collectibles down paths like "Rhubarb Road" and "Asparagus Way". We had to pull ourselves away with plans to return another day......
Although this little jewel has only been open 7 months, it has gained quite a reputation. A must see if you are headed out of St. Louis toward Kansas City!

What a super name for a store and what wonderful treasures, no wonder you want to go back.

Is this place before or after Columbia? My daughter is at Mizzou, so we've made several trips up that way. Sounds like an interesting place to stop.

HaHa. I was looking for something on the internet for Artichoke Annie's. The owner is my Aunt and she is a hoot. She will be happy to hear that you really enjoyed her store.
